Information About Arm Lift (brachioplasty)

Because an Arm Lift (brachioplasty) is largely a invasive procedure, full recovery can take some time. You will need someone to drive you home from the clinic or surgery center. Compression sleeves or bandages are generally worn at least the first week. Sleeves help control the shape of the arm as well as alleviate the swelling. Most swelling will dissipate over the course of the first month post-op, but can take up 3 months before going away completely. Bruising starts to fade usually between 2-3 weeks, but scars can take up to 2 years before becoming unnoticeable. Using scar therapy can assist in reducing puffiness or dis-colorization created by an arm lift.
